I teach two half day classes in a Head Start program with 17 children in each class which total up to 34. This program services low income children and their families. The children are provided many different services to help them during the early years and in the years to come. The children are provided many experiences to help them grow in the early years. We encourage the children to explore the many different areas within the classroom. Each day is a new experience where children are able to try new things with guidance from both teachers. There are many times where we encourage building,role play, exploring the arts and much more. Parents are also encouraged to be involved in their child's learning by having an open door policy and sending home activities for the family to complete. This helps the child develop in many areas. With teachers and parents working together the child's succeeds in many ways. Great!
