Following an especially long day or week, I would like to reward my students for hard work and good behavior. I would like for my students to engage in fun, hands-on, STEM-based building centers. Frequently, students will ask for free time on the computer or a homework pass for hard work and good behavior, but I would like for them to participate in something more collaborative and meaningful. I've borrowed similar building manipulatives from other teachers and found that my students will work diligently for 15-30 minutes of "fun" centers at the end of the day or the end of the week. I feel time spent in these centers, will be a strong incentive to promote learning and positive behavior.
