In my classroom, I have worked hard to create a fun and engaging area for students to read. I have been lucky over the years, and received many hand-me-down books from coworkers and mentors. However, many of the books are falling apart, and the books are not as engaging for young readers. My students visit the classroom library as a center everyday, and a more engaging range of titles would help foster a love of reading! These first grade students need engaging and fun reading material! My students love visiting the school library and choosing from the multitude of titles. I would like to bring a piece of that into my classroom, so that students constantly have interesting books available. It is important to foster a love of reading from a young age, and that is the goal of this project!
