As I embark on an adventure at my new school, I want books to foster connections between myself and the students I serve. We will get to know each other from conversations that stem from powerful Read-alouds. Books provide a fabulous springboard for discussions and connections to their own lives and diverse identities. Books such as, We're All Wonders, help us see the unique qualities we all possess to develop compassion and empathy for one another. All our books need homes so the book bins will provide storage, organization and access for all the learners in our room. As I design and set up my classroom library, I am excited to create an inclusive learning environment that reflects and values all learners.
