Technology is a very important part of society. We try to implement it into our classroom lessons as much as possible. This can help to support our instructional lessons. My students are all significantly below grade level and require intervention. Many are at a very low level and need to have audio books, talk to text programs and digital organizers available for their use. However, we don't have enough computers or headphones available for all of the students to work on them at the same time. I would like for us to have a Chromebook available for each of the students to work on. My students are all from low income families and many don't have access to technology at home. These circumstances are beyond their control. Yet, they are the ones who suffer. To succeed in society, they need a strong foundation in technology to build upon. The skills that they would learn would be ones that they can use throughout their lives. I am also looking for some snacks for my student. Often, my students come to school hungry. It is difficult for anyone to focus while hungry. This applies to my students as well. They also don't receive "goodies" at home, being many of them are from low income families.
