I chose a large, calming ocean themed rug that has the alphabet on it. It would be placed in my main instructional space. It will help my students learn the alphabet as well as provide a clean area for instructional learning, partner activities and individual tasks. I chose a small ocean themed rug for our classroom library. It will help my students practice reading in a comfortable environment. My students will benefit from these delightful learning areas on a daily basis. My students deserve to learn on clean, comfortable, happy rugs. The goal for my classroom environment is peaceful and inviting. I picked out both rugs from the online Lakeshore Learning web site.
