I already have everything my students could want in the Cozy Corner that I am building in my classroom, except for the joy of brand new books on phonics and books by favorite authors on CD. This project will provide books for them to browse and choose on their developmental level. We also need magnetic dry erase boards for math and letter practice. My students enter my class just learning to read. But by the middle of our year, they have a strong foundation and the potential to carry their skills into higher level books. A cozy place with many books will entice them to feel safe enough to read for pleasure and practice reading. These brand new popular books will be such a fun addition to our reading area!
