Hi! I'm Mrs. Vishion and I teach the worlds best 5th graders! I have the best 5th graders because they show up to school daily ready to try their best and work hard. My students put forth 100% effort and learn from the mistakes they make because that is where the true learning really takes place. I teach 90 students that come from as far as the Congo, Thailand, Nepal, and many more places including Buffalo New York. West Hertel Academy is a community school made up of a diverse population. Even though my students come from difficult backgrounds, they want the most out of their education. Our classroom is a safe space where students feel comfortable enough to try new things, make mistakes, help others, and ask for help when needed. Through Donors Choose, I am hoping to continue to provide that place for my students to continue to thrive.
