I am requesting 2 barrel style chairs for our library which will be used to create a reading/meeting area for students, visitors and faculty. The chairs will be placed around two low round tables which are currently waiting for their special place. The chairs I have chosen come with tuck away ottomans that can be used for flexible seating by younger students in the main area of the library. By funding this project, you will be helping to transform our library from a utilitarian area to one that invites readers in to enjoy a favorite book or have a quiet chat. Students and other visitors will now have a spot that encourages them to spend time in the library and not just pass through on their way to finding a perfect place to read or work. All told, we are going to need eight chairs to create a space in which an entire class can be seated at one time. I am planning on requesting two at a time. Thank you for your consideration
