The use of a whiteboard is a daily activity in our classroom. Using the writer's workshop model we are at the carpet daily displaying examples of amazing writing, revising our work and encouraging each other. Our current white board is not magnetic so when you donate to this project you will be allowing the ESL students at East Side Elementary to easily share their work with their classmates. In our ESL class we come together and lift each other up! We create class-wide paragraphs as we build off of each others' ideas. We share our writing examples without the fear of being laughed out or judged. Our sharing time is one of the most important aspects of our classroom and we would be so grateful for any donation towards our project! I have seen how sharing our work and speaking in front of classmates while using easel pads has strengthened my students English proficiency. It is truly amazing to watch these students share their work with such pride.
