Our school is located in a rural agricultural community in North Carolina. 56% of the students that attend this school get free or reduced lunch. With that said, these students work really hard in the classroom. Our school met annual academic growth for the 2009-2010 school year. These students are very active in sports. We offer 14 varsity sports along with 14 clubs/organization for the students. A lot of these sports and clubs are successful at state competitions as well as at the local level. Most of our students are at a economical disadvantage when it comes to their home life. These students work hard and I think it would be great to be able to give these students a window to the world around them by looking at other parts of the beautiful state they live in. I also love to see the joy on my students faces when they open boxes of new materials.
