Many of the students I work with come from very chaotic houses and family lives. Others have a variety of mental health issues and traumatic life events that have happened to them in their short lives. I want my office to provide these students with a space that is calm, organized, and safe. I would like quality tools for my office that my students can utilize to help them calm down through play, address their sensory needs, and refocus in a safe way that works for them. I want to create a reading nook where students can read books and take time alone. The Birch Hardwood Single-Sided Book Case will allow me to place easily accessible reading resources out for students and change out them based on needs. The Kids Adjustable Activity Play Table will allow students to calm down using a variety of sensory tools (Rainbow Rice, Water Gel Beads, Sandtastik). The Birch 5-Section School Classroom Storage Cabinet will allow me to have these tools easily accessible for students to access and organized so they can quickly choose what they would like to use. The Portable & Foldable Trampoline will allow students who have some extra energy to get their wiggles out in a safe manner. The other items (Hape Family Pets and Family Car Play Set and Sweet Li'l Family Action Figure Set) will replace or add to items in my play therapy house collection that many students love to use to act out their feelings or just have fun with.
