Giving students the opportunity to be exposed to Lakeshore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) materials will provide them with a unique hands-on approach to learning how the world works. These donations will improve my classroom by allowing students to have the opportunity to be exposed to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in order to explore how things around them function. The Building Brick STEM Challenge Kit gives students a fun new way to develop their STEM skills—with building bricks! From constructing a bridge for a car to cross to creating a marble maze, kids will love taking on each exciting challenge as they explore physical science concepts. The next STEM center that would help my students is Theraputty. This putty will help strengthen hand muscles and fine motor skills as they stretch and shape our colorful putty! Each color has a different resistance level, ranging from extra-soft to medium, so children of all abilities can improve grip strength, finger dexterity...and teach students about science! The Squeeze, Scoop and Count Ice Cream Shop will make counting practice a real treat! Students will count from 1 to 10 while adding scoops of “ice cream” to a banana-split counting tray! The Pattern Blocks Design Cards and Blocks will allow my students to explore math in a hands on way by allowing them to create patterns, properties of shapes, symmetry and more! Lastly, the Numbers and Counting Folder Game Library will boost math skills in a blast! Lastly, the Numbers and Counting Folder Game Library will boost math skills in a blast—with super-fun folder game! Lastly, the Numbers and Counting Folder Game Library will boost math skills in a blast—with super-fun folder games children can play on their own! The ready-to-use hands-on library comes with everything students need to play each game!
