Each of my students need a copy of the book, "Refugee" for our Global Read Aloud unit. This will be the second time my class is able to participate in the Global Read Aloud and it is a MAGICAL experience. Many of my students are never granted the opportunity to travel. This unit allows us to Facetime with other school districts around the world who are reading the same book. Last year we were able to connect with schools in Canada and they LOVED IT. They were able to create lifelong friendships through using these amazing digital tools. Students connect with the book on a much deeper level when they have their own copy. This would mean the world to them!
