My students will benefit from a classroom carpet because students will be able to meet in small groups comfortably. Small groups allow a small teacher to student ratio which better facilitates student learning. They will also be able to partake in a flexible seating option. This would give students an opportunity to do independent reading, computer work, and independent assignments somewhere other than their assigned seat and desk. This flexible seating option will be a nice and cozy touch to a classroom and would give it more of a homey feel. A comfortable and safe learning environment is crucial to student success.
