The eighth grade students at our school do not have an art elective due to budgetary constraints. Only one hundred students out of seven hundred students in the sixth and seventh grade have the opportunity to take an art elective. This project will give students in a weekly club, a chance to experience successful art projects. The weekly class will have a chance to explore the art genius of Van Gogh and Andy Warhol, as well as contemporary artists through these modern kits. The new paint by number kits are created with high quality paints and brushes. These kits are easy to use and they give a quality end product. It is my hope that experiencing a successful art project, students will go on to create art on their own with my guidance. They will have the chance to create and present their work in the annual spring art and music festival.
