Students will be able to focus on the activity while sitting on the carpet. We read, do math and many more activities on the carpet. The tiles floor is too hard to sit on for long periods of time. Many students suffer from ADHD and dyslexia and cannot handle sitting in a desk all day long. They get to squirming and wanting to move around. We do carpet activities during many opportunities throughout the day as whole class or in small group. Traditional seating leads to ordinary results. Non traditional seating fears a better environment where students can thrive.
