Reading is an essential part of our student's daily activities here in second grade. I want my students to be comfortable and able to really get lost in their books. By having this requested Color Rings rug and Bean Bag chairs in a special area in my classroom, I'm creating a warm environment that will allow my students to really engage with what they're reading. Reading helps develop the mind, increase communication skills, and allow for student's to explore and discover new places! Much of our school day is spent in desks. I want a place where my students can go in their downtime and enjoy a good book. I want my students to love school and everything about it. By providing these types of opportunities for them, I'm creating those feelings. They will develop a love for school and with it, a love for reading!
