Headphones would improve language , reading, and math skills in our class. With so many students being English language learners exposure to English will greatly enhance their language skills. Our school has provided technology in the classroom but we lack headphones and the funding to purchase them. With the integration of headphones the students will get much more out of the technology they have access too. Being able to hear the programs speak and give directions is key for many of the students to truly be successful using the technology programs they are provided. For those that struggle with reading, they can listen and read with the program while wearing headphones. The students who are building their language skills will gain exposure to the English language through ELL programs. With a class of 29 students using technology with the volume on for all to hear can get overwhelming for the students. They easily lose focus to the the sounds from their neighbors device. Headphones would eliminate that problem.
