Right now, students at our school share instruments in order to complete their learning. Due to the pandemic, there has been a wealth of guidance around what is the best way to continue string instruction. Using information from a conference on instrumental teaching during a pandemic that I attended, the best way to continue string education is to make sure that students have regular access to an instrument. Each instrument will be assigned to a specific student, so students will not have to wait the suggested 5 days for instruments to be disinfected after being used by another student.
