Many of my students are hands-on, visual learners. They need to be able to express their ideas and thoughts in different ways, other than on a boring plain sheet of paper while using a pencil to write. Allowing the students to use dry erase boards and sleeves in our classroom to get their answers across will help them grasp larger concepts that are being taught. We will utilize these items throughout all subject areas being taught in our classroom, such as math, reading, and especially writing. The individual white boards will be used every day, especially in math. Students make mistakes and it's easier for them to be able to erase quickly and fix the mistake they have made. Plus, they really enjoy using the white boards because it's something different and they also get to use colorful markers on them as well. The dry erase sleeves will be utilized in small group centers. This will allow students to have immediate feedback on their problems they are solving. My students will be forever grateful for these new and improved materials each day!
