My students will benefit from having a sensory reading center so my students can access text through print. Students with visual impairments need to have the same chance to engage in the reading curriculum as their same age non-disabled peers. Big Book sets allow the students to improve their reading comprehension and print awareness skills with the use of augmentative communication devices. My students are more engaged during reading time when they are allowed to see and feel large print using the Big Books. The sets will allow me to start a wonderful sensory reading center for my students!
