It is a state requirement for CNA students, in the state of Illinois, to complete CPR training and certification. In January, 2019, the American Heart Association set new mannequin standards for CPR training. Due to this mandated requirement, our school district did buy 5 new, high-tech mannequins for CPR training in our vocational high school. Now, we need 2 IPads to operate the software imbedded in these mannequins. It is absolutely amazing what a difference this technology makes for teaching the correct techniques for CPR compressions. The students will be able to actually see how arterial blood circulates to the brain when using the proper technique!!
