My request is for thirty TI30 II math calculators. These calculators can perform advanced functions, such as logarithms, that our current calculators do not. Many students do not have a professional grade calculator of their own, and my goal is to ensure all students have the same opportunity to demonstrate what they are learning in the classroom. My students, many of whom have a Specific Learning Disability in math, often struggle on their math exams, and would benefit from a professional grade scientific calculator. . The rigor of today's math requires that student's utilize technology in order to perform functions beyond a standard calculator. The TI30 calculator contains the professional grade applications that my students need in order to demonstrate their understanding of mathematical concepts.
