Our English I teachers conduct book clubs within their classes. These clubs really help our students with ADD, ADHD and dyslexia because they have support while reading. They depend on the library to provide the majority of these books for the students. Our students love to read and reading with friends makes it more fun. Young adult titles that are relative to their lives will draw them in and make readers of our freshmen. The books that I am requesting will be available in the library for students to check out. I am asking for ten each of four different award winning young adult novel: Sadie by Courtney Summers, Ghost by Jason Reynolds, Far from the Tree by Robin Benway, and The Poet X by Elizabeth Acvedo. The titles were all recommended by the students.
