In a successful classroom, student choice and voice are a must! As we build a flexible learning environment, my students are taking control of their own learning by choosing topics of interest, comfortable learning spots, and engaging with peers to learn together. Students also need a lot of materials to make this possible! Our new environment requires students to have easy access to all of their materials, while also being able to move around the classroom, just as the students do all day long! These ArtBins will allow students to carry materials to any desired learning area and reduce the number of transitions to get materials. Since students do not have desks, they will be able to move flexibly throughout our learning spaces throughout the day. Having all of their materials at hand will maximize our learning time in the classroom and easily allow students to stay engaged and productive during work time. I am excited to see how these ArtBins will help the students stay organized, productive, and engaged in their learning.
