Chromebooks in the classroom are more than just technology, it's an opportunity for all students to experience technology. Having Chromebooks in the classroom will help students receive accommodations in an engaging, interactive way. Access to technology will allow students to have access to resources to enhance their reading/math scores by using MYON, I-Ready, Firstinmath, etc. In addition, with consistent use students will gain real-world skills such as typing and navigating the internet. Learning an instrument is a great skill to know and carry with you through life. Numerous studies have shown that students with access to a technology develop a greater interest in reading/math, improved literacy skills in reading and math, and increased vocabulary, comprehension, and Lexile levels. It's my hope to create a Chromebook cart to enhance my students learning.
