Fostering a love of reading is crucial in the 4th grade classroom, and with that in mind I’d love to have more flexible seating. I’ve noticed how my students are more focused and engaged when they have a choice in where to sit at independent reading time. Curling up with an interesting book in a comfy seat will help these readers become future leaders! As their reading skills increase, so too will their scores in all subjects, as fluent reading and comprehension are critical to success in 4th grade and beyond. By donating to this project, you will not only help improve my students’ reading enjoyment - you are also investing in their future accomplishments. Thank you!
