This kid sized table and books with CDs, which narrate the stories to the prechoolers, will help foster a love of literacy in my students. Preschoolers love hearing books read aloud to them, since they cannot yet read independently. Listening to books helps children develop rhyme, alphabetic, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and knowledge of print skills. A listening center will help my students learn critical listening skills and become more advanced beginning readers. Teaching children to love reading from an early age, will help them become successful life long learners and readers!
