A carpet seems like a silly thing to need, but my students will make use of this carpet on a daily basis. This will not only be a "rug," but it will be a place where my students find comfort in sharing their ideas with one another. It will be a place of safety and trust, where my students can focus on their learning. It is a gathering area to communicate, to listen and to grow. We will not sit on this glorious carpet just once, but we will gather many times throughout the day. Either to sit and have our morning meeting where we can share kind words, or to regroup our focus after an extended period of work and perseverance! I know this carpet will be put to great use, we just need a little help!
