Students will benefit from hands-on activities to fully engage in reading and math content standards through STEM type materials and communication with their peers. With the hands on learning tools, students can engage and interact while continuing to explore and learn. Alpha-bots, Alpha-Numbers, Number and letter locks are a few ways that will allow students the opportunity to master letter recognition and sounds while using a fine motor, hands on approach. In kindergarten, my students need to be able to manipulate letters , numbers and shapes to help understand their foundation and purpose. (RF.K.1.D, L.K.1a, K.CC.A 1-3, K.CC.B 1-5) *The hands on material will be easy to clean after each use.
