Addams Elementary is a Title I school located in the urban city of Long Beach, CA, where at least 95% of students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. This is my first year teaching starting in January 2018. I teach a 2nd and 3rd grade class of children with mild/moderate disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism and other health impairments. My class varies in academic levels from Kindergarten to third grade. My goal as a teacher is to give my students a safe environment where they know they are loved and feel confident in taking risk. With an ultimate goal of closing the gap and re-entering general education!
