We want to create reading excitement all year long and Scholastic Action magazine makes reading about important topics possible for struggling readers. This magazine is so engaging, my students can't wait to dive in. When students read more, it becomes easier for them. And when something is easier, we are willing to keep at it. This magazine will help my students continue their cycle of reading success. Every article includes skill-building, vocabulary and scaffolded instruction to support my students. The Scholastic Action magazines I have in my room now are magazines discarded from a library and are about seven years old. The information is dated. Students would LOVE to have their own magazine in which they can write in and take home! These are downloadable in google classroom for at-home learning if necessary.
