During Instruction, the teaching team uses a lot of communication devices raging from laminated pictures to actual devices that not only encourage language but reduce frustration levels when the students are trying to say what it is they need or want. We feel that the iPad minis will help the students to learn language on different programs that would be varied according to level. During differentiated instruction, students are operating at different levels and capabilities. When offering an iPad to children with Autism we are giving then the opportunity to use this device as a means to communicate better and to enjoy the programs accessed at their level. These programs would supplement the material that we would be currently learning.
