Technical theatre encompasses all the "behind the scenes" aspects of a theatre production. Sets, costumes, and light design may come to your mind, but the general upkeep of materials and maintenance of the performance also falls in this realm. My tech theatre students have been repairing, refurbishing, and generally improving our theatre classroom all semester. Now they are ready to take on a new challenge--building a portable sink! This sink will allow us to clean paint brushes and wash hands without leaving the space. Not only will this improve efficiency, but this sink will be another lasting physical improvement to our space. Something my students can be really proud of!
