Our team has never attended a team camp or experience training on a college campus. Most of these students' parents have never attended college and basketball gives them a sense of hope for scholarships to attend college. The team is a family and the t-shirts will define our community and unity. Wearing our t-shirts at school, in our community and at camp represents will not only inspire our team but also parents and our community. Family is forever! These shirts will provide a life time of memories and inspiration for these young ladies and their families. Seeking to have these shirts funded through a resource such as Donors Choose is necessary because of the lack of funding provided for our schools and athletic programs. It also lets our students know someone else cares about them. Knowing someone cares and supports their positive efforts is very important to students such as our living in the urban core.
