My students are in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade at a Title 1 school in Lehigh Acres, FL. My classroom is a Social Communication unit. A Social Communication unit is a highly structured specialized classroom where students receive educational instruction and therapies targeting behavior, sensory integration, communication and social interaction. My students have varying exceptionalities, with Autism Spectrum Disorder being the most prevalent. My students are awesome young learners who need a special environment to have an optimal educational experience.
