I am working to acquire furniture that will better fit our classroom structure and allow my students to work comfortably. With a class of 32 students, my traditional tables and chairs are large and don’t allow for much creativity when it comes to classroom placement because they take up so much space. Desks would allow for more flexibility, however, my classroom thrives on collaboration. Students work in small groups for the majority of the day. This allows them to share ideas, help each other with challenging concepts, and feel connected. This project would allow us to add more flexibility and choice into our classroom.
