To keep my students engaged in reading, I need additional books to keep things fun! Students will have the opportunity to read them and be read to. We will use these books every day to work on 2nd grade reading skills such as inferencing, making predictions, and summarizing. The books on this list are incredibly diverse and offer something for all students! From folktales to poetry, this list if full of wonderful books such as- A Chair for My Mother, The Name Jar, and Ish. Students will become excited about reading again with this amazing list of books- we will be able to dig deeper into comprehension skills as well as celebrate individuality and a growth mindset!
