With the announcement that we will return to in-person instruction on November 9th, our kindergarten team has begun working hard to make our classrooms safe places to learn. A lot of changes have to be made due to social distancing guidelines. Since that means our tables have to go, lap trays are a fantastic solution! We have all used lap trays in the past and our students have loved choosing to use them as a flexible seating option. Now we are in need of a lot more of them! A full class set for each of our three classrooms will mean that students will not have to share. By providing a class set of lap trays, we can ensure that each child will have their own surface on which to work, a place to store their materials, and a space in the room that is all their own. Making students feel comfortable and keeping them safe as they return to the classroom is our first priority. Once we provide them with that, we can get on with the real (and fun) business of kindergarten: learning! The Cougar Valley Kindergarten Team, Mrs. Logan, Ms. Shelly, and Mrs. McAllister
