The materials I am requesting will help the students in my classroom develop foundational skills and independence that will build reading and math success. The ELA Reading centers for Story Elements, Inferences, and predictions will develop critical and analytical thinking skills in young minds. The Food Chains , Life Cycles, and Sky Learning Center will teach core curriculum and social skill development concurrently. Students will learn to work cooperatively in small groups while reviewing and enhancing the information learned from classroom science. The writing journals will help students demonstrate their understanding while teaching them how to use their own voice. The use of these centers will allow students to develop independence through the practice of skills needed to meet their educational goals. This will build self-confidence and that can be generalized to numerous settings.
