During decision day, students will be recognized in front of the entire school for their hard work over the past four years in high school. We will take the time to acknowledge each senior and where they are going. This is a big deal in our community as college hasn't always been an option or plan. After all the stress these students have endured their senior year, it's great for us all to recognize them. This event isn't just for the senior students. We use events like decision day to encourage students from all grades to start thinking about college. When 8th graders see our seniors going off to school , university level or community college, it gets them thinking about college and that's what we want. With the help of this grant, I'll be able to take some stress of money off myself and reward my students for a job well done. The bags on the list will be used to give each student a small gift from the school they will be attending in the fall. For the raffle I will give each student three raffle tickets to let them choose, which items they want to be chosen for. Then I'll randomly pick one person for each prize. The prizes are as followed: 1) Dorm room prize (blue/black) - Laundry hamper, trash can, towels, sheets, shower caddy. 2) Dorm room prize (purple/gray) - Laundry hamper, trash can, towels, sheets, shower caddy. 3) Planner and pen set. 4) Decorative felt board for desk/dorm decoration. 5) Roku streaming device for dorm. 6) Mini fridge for dorm 7) Desk organizer and outlet with phone charging mount 8) Fire tablet 9) Backpack with charger 10) Portable charger 11) Hammock
