Reading The Cricket in Times Square will make a memorable experience for my students. Third graders spend their early childhood years learning to read. Now I get to help them learn how to LOVE to read! My students get so excited when I pull out a new set of novels. High interest novels like this one keep them engaged!! I have watched my students go from hesitant readers to confident readers. Now when they are looking to check out books from the library they are looking for more meaningful books. I love watching my students get excited about books. Once we start a novel...they don't want to put it down!
