The different and unique seating options I have chosen for my classroom will allow my students to be themselves in a sometimes challenging environment. In my classroom I want to empower students by giving them choices. I want them to feel in control of their learning environment. With the use of The Surf Portable Lap desks, the Classic Video Rockers, and the Plastic Stack stools my students will have a choice in their seating, which will empower them in their learning environment. Children need to move and the Gaiam Kids Stay -N- Play Children’s Balance ball and Appleround Air Stability wobble cushions will allow for this opportunity. I want my students to feel like they are at home in my classroom, therefore the seating options will create a home like atmosphere for them to flourish. The Flex Space Comfy Couch and Elyse round garden stools will allow my students to feel at home and at ease in their classroom. Students need to be comfortable in order to succeed in their learning environment. An uncomfortable student, is a distracted and unproductive student. Therefore, all of these furniture options will allow my students to choose the seat that makes them comfortable.
