My students have a variety of stressors in their lives from their home situation to their busy schedules and often jobs after school and on the weekends. This comfortable, peaceful space in the corner of our classroom will provide them a place to breathe and focus while calming their minds and regrouping to face their circumstances. As we learn skills and focus on curriculum to become productive members of society and to build our marketability in a fast-paced world of work, this calming area can be a space to just unwind for a few minutes to a half an hour as needed. Or, I could be a relaxing, creative space.

About my class
