I want to create a learning environment that not only requires my scholars to write and solve problems from a textbook; but more problem-based learning. The kits will provide them with the opportunity to get out of their seats and collaborate in order to solve tasks related to their math concepts. The kits will provide the scholars with a way to develop relationships within their groups in order to ensure they are able to complete the tasks, solving math problems, to break the codes an open the kits. The breakout kits will help my students apply collaboration, critical thinking skills, team-building skills, and respect towards each other's work and input. This will help our scholars grow not only academically, but socially.
