The ukulele are great and fun instruments for experiencing music, comprehension and application. Having musical instruments in the music classroom is essential for maximum learning. We are a title I school and purchasing instruments for students is unlikely. Having the opportunity to perform in school will help inspire and encourage them to appreciate how important music is in our lives. When experiencing music, students love to sing, dance and play games but when they get the opportunity to create and perform with an instrument, the reward is priceless. When using instruments, students have a better understanding of music because they get to understand music better and ukuleles are great instruments to transition to bigger instruments such as guitar and orchestral instruments.
