As previously stated, my students are very astute in the practice of heutagogy: self-determined learning. The primary mode of teaching one another is through presentation. They utilize Prezi, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Piktochart, and a myriad of presentation platforms. Their lessons are very creative, informative, and effective. However, the excellence that they exhibit is not matched by the technology that they must use. Where their "student pedagogy" is innovative; for example incorporating culturally responsive education, as well as media education, the computers are out of date and don't allow them to expand their fellow classmates' knowledge base through the use of cutting edge technology. With one new computer, students will be given the opportunity to both explore and implement inventive ways to present information. They will also be able to support the different learning styles of their classmates: Visual, Auditory, and Tactile.
