These materials will help to ensure that all students are able to enjoy good literature. Having classroom novels enables the students to collaborate on projects and more deeply analyze a longer text. Allowing students to listen to novels while they read along will ensure that they are learning unfamiliar vocabulary. They can expand their knowledge and be challenged to read more difficult texts. Sometimes students feel inferior to others when they struggle to read a longer piece of writing. Students who can listen along with the text will have more confidence about their understanding of it. They will be more likely to engage in class discussions and participate in class.
