My Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HH) often enter the classroom with little to no communications skills. These students have to learn multiple languages simultaneously because the home language is different from English. They must know what a word is and also how to sign it. My students would benefit greatly from the teacher created ASL materials. A Teacher Pay Teacher gift card would provide this. These would be laminated and placed around the room for the students to see and practice daily. Because these are laminated, it will allow the students to take them home to practice with their families.
